Hatching Success

The Turtle Islands, located in the Philippines, saw its biggest sea turtle nesting year in 2011 since nests were first recorded in 1984. In 2011, 14,220 green turtle nests were counted on Baguan Island, putting estimates for total individual eggs at more than 1.4 million.
